SITRI to be established

SITRI (Sound Insulation Testing Register – Ireland) to be established. The timeline for this is as follows;

• 9th. July official launch of SITRI at Building Control Workshop.
• 31 August 2015 – first presentation of CCIBAM.
• September 2015 – SITRI Registration Audits
• 30th. September 2015 – first batch of certified testers added to the SITRI register

Sound Test Ireland welcomes the introduction of SITRI and shall be among the first applicants for registration. However, as Acoustic Consultants with vast experience in sound insulation testing, we recognize it is insufficient to be able to test a building without sufficient acoustical knowledge of why a test passes or fails and how to interpret results etc….
